Chris Lesley began his artistic career rather unconventionally – as a seven-year-old street hustler who sold his marker drawings of tigers, dragons, Christian saints and Greek mythology characters door-to-door for $20 each. Before graduating high school, Lesley landed two impressive showings of his work in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and in the Rotunda of the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. He received an Associate of Science degree in Commercial Art from Tampa Technical Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Illustration from Ringling School of Art and Design. He then went on to work as a comic book artist and theming artist/sculptor for several companies specializing in creating exhibits for amusement parks, museums, zoos, highly themed restaurants and resorts, etc. He also secured several celebritiy clients, creating a ceiling mural for entertainer Janet Jackson and sculpture art for professional golfer Fred Funk. Today, under the Revelation Arts brand, Lesley offers a full array of arts and scenic services for corporate, organizational and individual clients - From futuristic scenes for theme parks and film sets to exact replicas of ancient artifacts; playful murals for children's rooms and youth centers to Old Masters-inspired fine art; hand-carved one-of-a-kind artworks to CNC router-cut signs and sculptures produced by the hundreds. And if you're looking to a bit of dramatic flair to your next event, concert presentation or sermon, consider a live painting session.
